Dubrovnik, Croatia is the first place I’ve traveled to other than the U.S. and Canada. This isn’t a place I’ve ever planned to visit – it just ended up happening and I’m so happy it did.
I highly suggest this beautiful home we stayed at during our stay. You have a gorgeous terrace overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Like seriously. This is a view you see in the movies and on famous Instagram accounts.
Being somewhere like this has reminded me of my interest in art history and architecture. Stepping where people from so long ago stood. Where Latin was once the official language. It’s amazing. The world felt so much smaller. Also all the historical things I’ve learned about don’t seem so long ago now. I feel more connected with the people who lived long ago. I feel like I understand the world better now.
One thing to not miss out on is Old Town in Dubrovnik. You can walk on (slippery) cobblestone roads and you can walk the old walls of the city. It’s a pretty spectacular view of the rooftops and the Adriatic Sea.
