In Split, Croatia we stayed at this apartment that still has some of the original stone from over 200 years ago. Obviously the first thing I did after entering our room was feel the original stone. We were also located in the heart of old town which was pretty incredible.
Split is the second largest city in Croatia and is also on the Adriatic Sea. Where we stayed was literally a 2 minute walk from the sea.
Diocletian’s Palace, an ancient palace built for Roman Emperor Diocletian, is amazing.
The description of our Airbnb says –
Let the old stonewall take you away to another time, experience a unique and traditional small living style and get infected by the Dalmatian easy-going way of life.
This is a city where people stay out late and wake up late! My friend and I would start our explorations at 5:00am while the whole city was still asleep. The streets weren’t filled until around 8:00am. I had to wait for a cup of coffee until things started opening up around 7:00am!
Check out my other travel blog posts for some ideas on fun things to do in Split Croatia! I highly recommend checking out Diocletian’s Palace and going on a tour with Water World Croatia.
